We have an annual jog-a-thon that raises funds for school programs and field trips. This year our Jog-a-thon will be on May 19th. A link to make a donation to a particular student is in the sidebar.
Think Kindness is a non-profit organization that inspires measurable acts of Kindness in schools and communities around the world. Each year, the organization travels coast to coast challenging over 80,000 students to ’15 Days of Kindness’. Brian Williams has been featured on TED Talks, MTV, USA Today, and MSNBC. He has spoken to over 250,000 students across the country, collected over 300,000 pairs of shoes for needy children and families around the world, and produced 2 award-winning humanitarian documentaries.
Brian challenged our students to perform 5,000 acts of kindness. They exceeded that and recorded over 6,000. They are continuing with small acts of kindness even though the challenge is over. From Brian Williams:
"HUGE CONGRATS TO ST. FRANCIS. For acts of Kindness document per student, you are surely one of the top 3 schools so far!! (out of 68!)"
Preschool Story Time
Beginning in January, our own Principal Fadden, and possibly some student helpers, will treat young children to some of their favorite stories. Stay tuned for more information!
The annual auction is our school’s most critical fundraiser. It’s also a testament to the power of what can be accomplished when parent volunteers, local businesses, and community members unite for the great cause of Catholic education. The theme of our 2017 auction is Denim to Diamonds. The date is October 21, 2017. Donations are being accepted now. (See the link in the sidebar.) Registration will open during the summer. Contact the school for sponsorship information.
The annual golf tournament supports our tuition assistance program helping us extend the reach of the quality academic and moral education we provide. Please join us in June of 2016 for some scramble format fun for a great cause!
